Art on Products - Pink Flowers Sugar Skull

Sugar skulls are a way to make better of a possible sad situation. They are made to help lift one's spirit up when someone has physically departed. They have also been transformed as another way of thinking about skulls and Halloween. The designs below were made with thoughts of better things in mind.

This one features a pink sugar skull decorated with purple flowers. It is printed on tshirts, and can also be found on various other products my CherylsArt store at

This design looks pretty on a blue background too.

The pale yellow reminds me of the butter cream color I selected for the eyes:

I've read that Mexico is one of the countries that celebrate the Day of the Dead, however, I've heard that there are other countries as well. In Mexico, I think it is November 1st when they celebrate it. It is a time to celebrate and invite a specific departed spirit to the celebration. Skull candy is made from sugar, and decorated with icing and candies. Some decorations aren't edible and some are.

I enjoyed making my first Sugar Skull design and plan to make more.
