Zebra Print Shirts

zebra stripes
Here you will find a selection of zebra print animal shirts that you can purchase online. You can choose the different designs on the tshirt style and color of your choice.

Did you ever wonder what color if the black or the white part of the zebra is its real color? I did some research online, and found out that the black and white pattern is actually the zebra's fur. Underneath the fur, the skin of most zebras is black.

This first tshirt features an outline drawing of a zebra walking. The stripes and the body of the zebra are the same color. You can have some fun coloring in the stripes if you like, making your zebra any color that you like.

For a different look, choose a black or other dark colored shirt.

The turquoise zebra outline looks pretty cool too. Do you know anyone who loves turquoise and zebras?

Here the black stripes of the zebra are already colored in.

Here, part of the zebra print is enlarged and printed on the shirt.

Did you know that no two zebra's are alike. I guess they're kind of like snowflakes, in that respect.

Are you feeling creative? Would you like to design your own zebra print shirt?
Here is an idea. Create a stencil first. Then place a sheet of cardboard between the two fabric layers. Paint in the design, with acrylic fabric paint or acrylic paint with a fabric textile medium added to it. Then carefully remove the stencil. Then you can add any outlines or touch ups. Let the paint dry, then remove the cardboard. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for heat setting the paint, if it is required.

Koi Fish Designs on Shirts Puzzles and More

Koi fish are so interesting looking. I was inspired by some of them at a park that I had visited and decided to make these designs.

The ones that I saw were either a mix of orange and white or orange and black. The background of their swimming area was shades of green.

Since I wanted to paint a school of fish, I decided to group them together as if they were having a meeting - like in school.

Whether the kids are in school, or not, they would probably enjoy putting this puzzle together of fish in school.

You can choose from an 8 by 10 or 11 by 14 inch size.

Before I had painted in the background, I had taped in the fish with blue painter's tape; they turned out pretty cool. Here this abstract school of blue fish is printed on tee shirts.

If you are a tropical fish fan or know someone who is, these two tone mugs are a perfect choice. You can choose the accent color, and or you can also choose a different mug, cup style.

Aprons can come in handy for young ones doing a painting activity, etc. With these fun aprons, kids can also add to the design!

You can see more koi fish designs in my CherylsArt store at Zazzle.

Thank you for your visit.

Star Tortoise Info and Shirts

My family and I had gone to Dublin, Ohio for vacation one year. While there, we went to the Columbus Zoo. I took along my camera for artistic inspiration and came upon this magnificent looking turtle. I took its picture and moved along.

Once home, I tried to identify this type of turtle. After much searching, I finally typed in tortoise instead of turtle, along with black, yellow, and the best word to describe the pattern on its back - star - and low and behold, I found its picture and its name. This animal is called a Star Tortoise. Here is a painting that I did that is printed on tee shirts.

Looks
The star pattern that I saw had raised areas, making the overall shell appear bumpy. However, some types of star tortoises have smooth backs.

Although called a Star Tortoise, the stars don't all look the same. What Star Tortoises have in common is the overall dark background with a yellow pattern. Some of the yellow patterns are more star shaped than others. Some even look more like a diamond.

On some Star Tortoises, the yellow markings are rather thin, and on others they are bold.

Habitat
The Star Tortoise lives in a habitat that is dry for at least three months out of the year.

The Star Tortoise lives in temperatures that range from 90 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit in the warmest area to about 80 degrees in the cooler area of its habitat. At night the temperature ranges in the low to mid 70s. They also like some vegetation to protect them from the mid-day sun.

Diet
The diet of the Star Tortoise may range from fruit and vegetables one part of the year, to grasses and decaying flesh another; both providing different vitamins and minerals for its sustained well being.

Cute Tuxedo Cat Shirt with Bow Tie

Are you looking for something that is tuxedo style, yet still casual, and also fun? Look no farther, me and my cat Muffin are here to help you out.

Muffin is our black and white tuxedo cat and she has so graciously posed for the photo that I took. I then painted her cheery likeness in pointillism style, and added a red bow tie to the mix. She looks quite handsome, don't you think.

The cat design is printed on a raglan style tshirt with black sleeves, which accents Muffin's looks perfectly. You can also choose any other tshirt style and/or color of your choice.

Where will you be wearing your new tuxedo cat shirt? Feel free to share in the comment section below. I look forward to seeing where you plan to wear it.

Mother and Child Giraffes Products and Art

Most of my art up until now has been paintings and outline drawings. But I recently read a book that inspired me to try something new.

Can you tell what I did? Does it look like a painting? Actually it is a drawing. First I drew the outline of the bodies. Then I used Sharpie Markers to color in the base color. Then I used Prang Colored Pencils - to add depth and shading. Voila.

These cards with a mother and child giraffe are a great choice for Mother's day.

Here are the giraffes printed on tshirts; the mother and child can have the same design on their shirts.

Let me know what you think. Have you done any art in one medium that looks like it's been done in a different medium?

This giraffe design can easily be used for a mother and child painting activity. The drawing outline is printed on faux canvas; it dries quicked than stretched canvas. If you want a different foundation to paint on, you can go to the product page and then look for the option to, Transfer design to a product.

Art on Products - Autumn Neckties, Shirts, Cards, and Mugs

Here you will find a variety of autumn designs on neckties, tshirts, cards, and mugs. These designs are on other products in the store, and can also be transferred to other products on Zazzle. Just click on the design that you want to get started. You can also see other autumn designs on the various categories in links below the products.

Autumn is the time of year when the beautiful colors have switched from flower blossoms to the leaves on the tree. Gone for a while are the bright vivid reds, yellows, and purples of flowers; for awhile we welcome the more subdued yellow, oranges, greens, and browns. Come help me welcome the season of Fall.

Some of the first colors that I've noticed are yellows, as depicted in this pretty Autumn tie:

Most people will also say they think of cooler weather, along with thoughts of Autumn. This word of Autumn is designed from my abstract painting of fall leaves, and is printed on the tshirt style of your choice:

Art on Products - Pointillism

I did a blog on polka dots; however this one is on a particular style of dots, called pointillism. The short definition of pointillism is painting a picture with dots. The dots themselves can be spread out, close together, random, overlapping, organized, one size, small to large, and/or various sizes. The dots can be round, or they can be odd shaped, as when one paints with the side of a paint brush.

This U. S. flag done in pointillism is an example of both organized and random dots, which is pictured on postcards.

The kayak scene, on a postcard, involved a lot of random and overlapping dots. It was inspired by a kayaking lesson that my husband took.

The pointillism, on the butterflies tank top, was made by single sized dots in a very organized manner with no overlapping. It gives a lace like look.

Pointillism can be used as an outline, as shown on the morning glory flower, on wedding invitations. It can be used to give elegant attention to an outline design.

Pointillism can be a fun way to enhance facial features!

I like various styles of pointillism, and I like the affect. My favorite type to paint is lots of random dots with colorful paint markers; it goes much faster.

Do you like pointillism? What is your favorite pointillism picture?
