Make All Votes Count Voting Tips

Here are some tips to help ensure that your vote, ballot will count.

1. For paper ballots, fill in the circle next to the candidate that you are voting for. Circling the candidates name disqualifies the ballot.

2. Only vote for the maximum number of candidates allowed, or less, for that section. Voting for more than the maximum number allowed for any section can disqualify the ballot.

3. Sign your ballot. Ballots without a signature are disqualified.

4. If hand delivering your ballot to your voting office, make sure that a postmark isn't required for your state. New York had disqualified ballots in the primary because they didn't have a postmark on them. This was however reversed and the ballots were counted. So just check things out up front to make the process easier from the start.

Any of the above reasons were why ballots were not counted in the Primary elections. So be sure to follow the instructions. If you know anyone who may not understand the instructions, please give them some guidance on the correct way of filling out their ballots, to help ensure that their ballots will be counted too.

I have made some business cards and posters with the basic tips on them, for ease of sharing this information. Please do share this blog and or the business cards and or posters to help more votes be counted in our election.

The basic tips are printed on the back of the business cards:

The posters are 8-1/2 by 11 inches and they can be ordered on smaller and or some larger sizes.

May your vote be counted.
