Art on Products - Patriotic Shirts

Many countries have artistic designs that represent their patriotism. I am from the United States, and these are designs that I came up with to represent patriotism in the U.S.

The colors red, white, and blue, the colors of the U.S. flag, are common colors to represent a patriotic theme in America. On these tshirts, the stars are white and are outlined in blue. The tshirt that I chose is red.

I love my country and I think it would be great for everyone to love and respect all countries. With the patriotic flower design, I wanted to convey a new way of thinking; a love that blossoms and grows:

In the United States, our celebration of Independence is on July 4th. Many people celebrate with fireworks. This tshirt features my artistic display of star themed fireworks.

My next design features the first star design behind the USA flag done in pointillism.

In 2024 I used my pointillism flag design as the basis for this Kamala tshirt. Kamala Harris represents freedom and democracy.

Do you have an Independence or Freedom Day in your Country? When is it and how do you celebrate it?

Any of the above designs can be purchased on kids to adult shirts for both men and women, and also on any tshirt style, at my CherylsArt store on Zazzle.
Thanks for visiting.

Art on Products - Pointillism

I did a blog on polka dots; however this one is on a particular style of dots, called pointillism. The short definition of pointillism is painting a picture with dots. The dots themselves can be spread out, close together, random, overlapping, organized, one size, small to large, and/or various sizes. The dots can be round, or they can be odd shaped, as when one paints with the side of a paint brush.

This U. S. flag done in pointillism is an example of both organized and random dots, which is pictured on postcards.

The kayak scene, on a postcard, involved a lot of random and overlapping dots. It was inspired by a kayaking lesson that my husband took.

Butterflies can look so intricate, and pointillism is a way to enhance this quality, as demonstrated on these custom address labels. They make a great choice for butterfly lovers, for anyone who wants a more girly look, etc.

Pointillism can be used as an outline, as shown on the morning glory flower, on wedding invitations. It can be used to give elegant attention to an outline design.

Pointillism can be a fun way to enhance facial features!

I like various styles of pointillism, and I like the affect. My favorite type to paint is lots of random dots with colorful paint markers; it goes much faster.

Do you like pointillism? What is your favorite pointillism picture?

Today, cake decorating has taking on a whole new meaning; cake decorators are artists in their own right. Instead of painting on traditional canvases though, icing and fondant has become their canvas of choice. And the cakes have taken on a whole new dimension. Once traditionally round or rectangle, cakes can now be shaped like cars with racing stripes, or shaped like a cruise ship for a bon voyage, and more. The cake decorator has definitely become more of an artist.

When cake decorators don't have the time to design an artistic business card, what do they do instead; they take advantage of the talents from other artists that have access to different kinds of creative tools, and let them do the painting! Here they can easily customize these cake themed business cards featuring a double layered, yellow cake with red, white, and pink icing.

They then can have more time to sit down an enjoy a beverage in a favorite mug, admiring the fun reminder that it's cooking time!

So they can then get back to their other talent, baking wonderful cakes.

Art on Products - Candy Mint Swirl

necklace

Many times art imitates life. We see something we like and want to savor it; as in a cool refreshing mint - the taste lingers in the mouth.

The design in the candy is simple, yet complete. Inspired by this candy, I decided to make a free hand design. No candy in sight, I drew equally spaced lines so that it'd have an alternating effect. I painted white first, leaving the pink watercolor lines for reference. Then when I added blended brush of white and red, I added a round affect to the lined areas.

I love painting like this. There was no set design that I was trying to replicate exactly. Although I have done that, I prefer the free flowing design that unfolds as I make it. Then it conveys a natural sweetness, just as in the candy, itself.

Here is the candy mint swirl printed on heart shape stickers.

Here it is printed on round stickers. It seems to give it a different vibe.

May you enjoy the sweetness of life with a lovely mint swirl mug.

This fun red and white swirl design is joined together to make an abstract pattern on shower curtains. This is a great choice for Christmas, winter, Valentine's, and any day of the year for mint lovers.

Last but not least, is the option of a Candy Mint Swirl Necklace for your sweetheart, mom, etc. This makes a pretty gift for Christmas time, Valentine's Day, a birthday, etc. You can choose from round or square necklaces, in sizes small, medium, or large.
